Preschool News
Bridgeton Kiwanis:  The Bridgeton Kiwanis has selected the Pattonville Preschool classrooms again to participate in their free book give away.  Members of the Kiwanis will visit each of the Early Childhood Preschool classrooms this month and provide a free book to each child.  In addition, they will share their passion and love of reading through a short story time.  Our sincere gratitude and appreciation goes out to the Kiwanis for their partnership in sharing the love of reading with our young readers.

Parent Portal: Have you set up your parent portal yet? If you have not, please take a moment to do so. The portal is where you list your child's emergency contacts and other important information. It also is used as a communication link between home and school.

What: A kiddo friendly trunk or treat event!

Where: At the Pattonville Learning Center Parking Lot

When: October 25 from 6 to 7 pm

We’re looking for parent volunteers to decorate trunks! Arrive by 5:45 to setup, and bring your own candy to hand out (don’t forget our friends with allergies).Remember, this is fun, don’t make it too spooky!

The Pattonville Board of Education is asking voters to go to the polls on Tuesday, April 4, to vote on Proposition K, Pattonville’s proposed $23 million zero tax rate increase bond issue. Approval of the bond issue will not increase the district’s tax rate. To find out more, visit the Prop K website at http://www.psdr3.org/PropK.

Registration for Pattonville preschool for the 2017-2018 school year begins on February 24 at 8 a.m. at the Pattonville Learning Center, located at 11097 St. Charles Rock Road in St. Ann. Those who register on Feb. 24 must get a numbered ticket upon arriving for registration. Numbered tickets will be available starting at 6 a.m. the morning of registration. Parents will be registered in the order in which they picked up a ticket.

To enroll a child for preschool, parents or guardians should bring with them:
Completed application - An application for enrollment, including an enrollment checklist, can be found online at http://www.psdr3.org/newsinfo/pdf/2017-2018PreschoolEnrollment.pdf. This application includes a student health history form;
Proof of immunization - Missouri law requires immunization of school children against polio, diphtheria, rubella, measles, mumps and other illnesses. Immunizations are available through the St. Louis County Health Department (www.stlouisco.com/Healthandwellness) or your child's doctor. All students must meet immunization requirements before they may attend preschool;
Proof of residency - Current documents are required to provide proof that you reside in Pattonville: 1) a mortgage statement or paid real estate tax receipt and/or signed lease and 2) two current utility bills or real estate tax bill, bill must show the parent/legal guardianís name and service address. Dated within last 30 days. If you reside with someone else, please contact the student services office at (314) 213-8090 regarding residency verification forms. Enrollment fee - A $50 enrollment fee is required at the time of registration. A check or money order should be made payable to Pattonville EC.
If the student is new to the program, please also include the child's birth certificate. If you do not have a birth certificate prior to the time your child begins school, call (314) 615-1720 for St. Louis County or (314) 613-3016 for St. Louis city to request a birth certificate.

Morning sessions are designated for children that will be 3 years old on or before July 31, 2017. Afternoon sessions are designated for children that will be 4 years old on or before July 31, 2017. Program options and tuition fees are shown in the enrollment application packet.

Board places $23 million zero tax rate increase bond issue on April ballot
Board places $23 million zero tax rate increase bond issue on April ballot

The Pattonville Board of Education on Jan. 10 approved a new facilities plan for the district and voted to place a $23 million zero tax rate increase bond issue to fund the plan on the April 4 election ballot for voter approval. Passage of the bond issue will not increase the district's debt service tax rate, which is used solely to fund construction and major repair and improvement projects in the district.
